Welcome to the Department of Neurology of the Charité.Our department is equally dedicated to comprehensive patient care, teaching and neuroscience research. Located in the heart of Berlin, the Department of Neurology at the Charité has been a major center of neurology and neurological research since the early 19th century. Today, the department has a strong focus on neuroimaging and cerebrovascular disorders. In addition, thirteen research groups cover the entire field of neuroscience, from molecular genetics to behavioral neuroscience. The department currently houses 160 neurologists and neuroscientists, all dedicated to the understanding and treatment of diseases of the nervous system. Our internet pages are intended to facilitate contact with the clinicians and scientists of the department.
